I used to have BOINC statistics of my own. They were done with a set of scripts that asked for the stats information that is intended to be used on phones. The advantage of that is, that it uses relatively few ressources - compared to downloading whole databases; the disadvantage is that it only works for projects that are alive and kicking.
With all these projects that emerge and disappear continuously, it's nearly impossible to cater for stats for everything tat's in the wild.
